FTA's Emergency Relief Program

FTA Region 3 is pleased to announce that the Public Transportation Emergency Relief Program has received funding to assist transit systems affected by major declared disasters that occurred in calendar year 2018.

The Additional Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Act of 2019, signed into law on June 6, 2019, appropriates $10,542,000 for FTA’s Emergency Relief Program. With this appropriation, you are now required to seek funding from FTA before FEMA.  If you are already working with FEMA, please let us know where you are in that process.

Further updates, such as the publication of the Notice of Funding Opportunity and scheduled webinars, will be shared by email and on the FTA Emergency Relief (ER) website at /funding/grant-programs/emergency-relief-program.
